Default CEL P0410 Help

My 01 S2000 keeps getting a P0410 CEL. I know it has to do with air pump. Luckily, I am able to use my brother's s2000 to switch parts and see what the problem is. So far, I have switched the relay, cel still came on, swapped out the air pump (the connector pin had corrosion and broke when removed), cel still came on, checked the 60A fuse (had some corrosion on the visible part) and swapped it out and cel is still on. I swapped the air pump current sensor under the fender and the cel is still on. I have cleared the cel after swapping every part and have done cold starts. What can I do next? Switch the ecu? I know in the manual, it states that a wire can be shorted, but how do I replace that? Thanks for your help.

P.S. Air pump delete simulator will be my last resort since I am in California.

Just swapped out the white valve, same result. I will swap out the solenoid next.

Did you check the orientation of the white valve? It's a one way check valve....if installed backward you get a P0410 Secondary error. Very common when peeps install CAI's

Yes, the intake is stock on both cars. I switched them and still got the same code. They were both in the correct orientation.

OK, so I got a multimeter and I think I've narrowed it down, but am kind of stumped. The air pump current sensor has voltage and continuity. The air pump relay 2p connector has voltage as well. Now, I do the air pump relay test...there is not continuity when the small plug is connected or disconnected. The thing is I know I have 2 working relays, the one from the other car and I just bought one.

Sounds like you are following the correct troubleshooting sequence. Have you done the tests for body ground? (Ref: Helm 11-147 Step 25 for AP1)

is this the "secondary air pump malfunction" code???
I am just going off memory here ,,,...but i "think" that i got this code once and it was because one of my little hoses came off when i did the valve adjustment. took forever to locate the problem.
It was one of them under the fuel rail
I dunno if that helps but its worth a look.

Yes. P0410 is secondary air malfunction..And yes the small spaghetti hoses relate back to secondary air injection and can cause the CEL. Worth a check.

P0411 relates to the secondary air injection system. The p0410 relates directly to the pump. If his hoses were disconnected he would have the 411 code, not the 410.
