hey guys, i can't remember if the name is right or the part, its a CF cooling plate i believe? what is it mainly for? what does it do? any pictures of it on a car? thanks.

Here's mine. Its made by Garage Defend. It doesn't really do much other than look cool and maybe direct a little bit more air into the airbox inlet.

 

how much did you get it for? i found one made my SP engineering for 108 bucks. is it worth the 108? whe i read what it does it said somethign about wind and blah blah blah too tired to think i just woke up. does it look nice in person tho? i think i want it just for the bling factor.

The "bling" factor is definitely there. The pic does not do it justice. The wind blah blah is marketing. I got mine for $170 from another board member. There was a group buy a few months ago for around $380 or so for the Garage Defend. I would recommend looking for that thread in the group buy section because it has most of the info you are looking for.

 

I have some that are all made and ready to sell. The are carbon kevlar, which is very similar to carbon fiber, except they are colored weaves, and also the kevlar is more difficult to cut (more production costs basically)

damn you guys call that a steal? the one i am goign to ipick up is made my SP engineering for 108 dollars due to it being on sale. i have a question tho, is kevlar more expensive than CF? cuz the hood i had my on prelude was according to me CF but the thread or weaves were bronzish colored and i had never seen it before. any idea if that was kevlar or jsut a CF hood?
