Changing brake pads...simple?
I saw a few posts on the basics of changing pads. Do I have to bleed the brakes when changing pads? What about flushing the brake fluid? So all I do is take the 2 bolts off push in the cylinder and thats it? What about the rears? Thanks in advance for any imput. i did a search and came up with a some but not all the answers....thankx!!!
Yes you should either have the rotors cut or replaced at the same time, there are inconsistnecies in the pads and metal, this means that there are waves and grooves that the old pads formed and can cause poor/ noisey/ vibrations in the brake setup.
I know because I tried to only replace the pads on my Is300 and learned the hard way.

Don't go it alone.
Changing the Brakes is simple but for someone that has done it before.
Get someone experienced to help you and shoew you the ropes.
Use Honda Pads. They should be the quietest and fit the best.

Since you come up to CT all the time...........we could do it at my house.
I need to change my fronts I could be up for doing an all around change on your car too. We could make a saturday meet out of it. I don't have a lift but a floor jack will do fine.
We can bleed the brakes at that time too if needed.
If your car isn't obviously lunging on braking a sign of warped rotors then you should be fine.

No reason to turn the rotors unless there is a surface variation causing a problem. It just shortens the rotor life for no real benefit.
