Default Changing cltuch.

Just received my clutch but forgot or i thought that the center thingy would of come with it. Will a civic's center thingy work on a s2k? Or should I get the original one? Or can I just get something that fits in it to center it?

Thx

I've never used it. you can use your fingers to make sure the disc is centered while you tighten down the pressure plate.

it needs to be pretty accurate. but you can get it there with your fingers from the outside edges of the pp.

It's called an Alignment tool. The S uses the same factory tool that a 90-97 Accord does. If you don't get the disc centered you won't be able to install the trans all the way.

besure to to check the centering many times as you add the pp bolts and as you tighten keep double checking its position.

the edge of the clutch lines up pretty closely to the edge of the pp mating surface so you can pretty easily tell if they aren't even by feel.

Are you talking about the alignment tool, the pilot bearing or the throwout bearing? If you are talking about the alignment tool, you can pick up a univeral one at Pep Boys.
