The power was lost for the speedo calibrator. so take a look at some of the threads on how to install it and back trace the wiring to see if the power lead is still connected. The stereo is thestrange part, but I bet they have a common 12+ connection.

You will have to read the referanced threads. I would guess it is by the EUC, behind the kick panel.

So i finally had a chance to check under the dash and i found the yellowbox by ricks. The power was not lightning up so i checked the fuse..what do you know...the fuse was blown..10amp acc fuse. So i replaced the fuse and then radio turned on, so did the yellowbox...i treid to accelerate alil bit speedometer was still 0 and mileage still didnt clock EPS and check engine still on and it started smoking and a few seconds later fused popped again. im guessing i got a short somewhere..or could it be something else? would it happen to be where the smoke came out from? or could it be anywhere? smoke came from alil west of where the fusebox was (driver left leg kick panel).

That smoke is bad, sounds like a good size short. I'd recommend disconnecting your batter and look for open wires connections where the smoke is coming from. Don't put another fuse in there until you find the short.

Alright, I ran an EPS diagnostic and it said it had an open circuit in the EPS line. Any idea where the EPS wire is? IM thinknig thats the culprit. Also i jus tnoticed today that my vtec was not engaging either..Seems pretty bad..

The YB is in the VSS Line. So if the YB is powered off, the VSS line is open. This is enough of a problem to cause you Vtec issue too.

Sounds to me that the way the car is wired is suspect. The YB and radio should be of differant circuits.

So you need to trace the connections. You can remove the YB from the car and reconnect the VSS wire. the YB only has 4 wires. 12+, Ground, Signal In and Signal Out. Trace them and remove the 12+ and Ground connections. Then reconnect the other two wires connected to the Signal in/out on the fatory harness.

Next, disconnect your radio. I personally would remove it from the car and look at thge wiring job the installer did. That may be where the root cause of your problem is.
