I'm not sure. I think when its flashing/running, it is not flashing a code. I never sat and counted flashes...only when pulling.

i know in OBD1 cars that it was possiable to count the CEL flashes and get a code...i think some early OBD2 cars this is possiable as well...but to be sure what the code is hook up a scanner....

if its blinking while driving, its your knock sensor picking up the misfires. it is not reading out the code to you, it's telling you to pull over. plug#1 don't look too good. swap the plugs to the new ones, and even if it runs well, keep your old plugs from cyl #2-4 for now. There's a good chance whatever smoked the #1 plug will present itself again in the future and your old plugs will be useful to diagnose. Find the misfire thread and diagnose it accordingly, could be many different things.

Knock sensor has nothing to do with misfires.

A friend of mine was battling a misfire with his S2000 recently. We did a bunch of tune up stuff: new plugs, cleaned out the throttle body, fuel pump sock, valve adjustment, injector cleaner, and cleaned his air filter. This didn't help the misfiring problem (the misfire was all across the RPM range). His car has 175,000 miles, we swapped in some injectors with 20k and the misfire was gone. He has driven the car another 2000+ miles without a problem.
