Default Check Engine, pulled Code P2195

As the title reads, check engine light came on last night. I had autozone pull Code P2195. Now I need to know where the Bank 1 O2 sensor is and how it got stuck lean, or better yet, how and what I need to have/do to fix it.

TIA

Ryan B.

P.S., Mods, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move me!

Okay so I took the O2 sensor out of the header and the cat err.. . test pipe (which has the fouler) and cleaned them up. Reinstalled them but the light is still on. If cleaning them did cure the issue, would the light stay on for a few more driving cycles and then shut off, or should it have gone off as soon as I cleaned the O2's if that was the problem?

you should have erased the code when you cleaned the o2 sensor. that way if the code pops up agian that means your attempt at fixing the problem didnt work. and if the code doesnt come back after being erased after a few driving cycles, youre good to go!

Well, they are both bank 1 As this is only a 1 bank engine (as opposed to a V-engine)

P2195 is for the primary (Bank 1, Sensor 1) O2. This one is in the header.

The secondary (Bank 1 Sensor 2) is in the cat. But you don't need to worry about this one in your case.

An intermittent no fuel condition can cause a low voltage signal in the primary O2. You didn't get low on fuel right?

I would just reset the ECU to see if it returns. It is likely intermittent. At least you know the code to look for should it come back.

It couldn't hurt to check it's connector on top of the transmisson. Be sure it's clicked tight, nothing has snagged the wire.

I wan't really low on fuel maybe 3 bars left on AP2 cluster. I got gas the day that this happened though. I was wondering if I might have clogged injectors or something like that. I'll reset the code now and see what happens. Thanks Billman!!!

Replace the sensor as it is due for replacement either way.
