Default Check your compression

I just installed a new shortblock with a 2mm cometic headgasket about 1,600 miles ago and today decided to check the compression and change the plugs. The gauge cost me 30 bux shipped from amazon.com and I got a new set of plugs since I was going to take mine out anyway and I am due for a change. I followed the DIY at the top of the forum and man was it super easy. I have changed my plugs a few times so I am familiar with the process. From start to finish with changing and gapping my new plugs it only took me 45 minutes. So for 30 bux and 45 minutes it really can't hurt to give your engine a check. I ended up with 210 across the board, all cylinders were right on which makes me happy.

Oh and I had another car running with jumper cables on my battery so it would not run dead. I suggest doing this so you do not strain your battery with all the cranking you have to do.
