Default CHrome plated/powdercoated calipers?

I wanted to either colormatch my OEM calipers with powdercoat or get them black-chromed. I wanted to know if this is a bad idea for a daily driven car. I dont drive my car too hard except when I slam my brakes when getting cut off.
Any ideas?

BTW, the above two colors are not available any other way like the g2 caliper paint.

I asked a board member in my section and this is what he told me. I use a 2-part epoxy paint that you brush on. It is made by G2 and I get the kits from "decalgirl.com" who also sells the S2000 logo.

You CAN get them powder coated, but that invloves having to rebuild them. The way I do it, you leave the calipers mounted and do all the prep and painting with them on the car.

he said hes done a couple dozen cars....

Why would the calipers have to be rebuilt?

Um prolly because to bake them, you'd want to dissasemble them and just leave the outer shell.

Rebuilding them is not hard to do.

I would not powdercoat them, it will hold in too much heat. Use a special brake calier paint.

Or you an get a $3.00 can of Krylon or Rustoleum glossy black spray paint from Home Depot and paint them. Check it out:
