Default Clanking Driver Front Wheel

Hey all, I just searched and couldn't find much for my issue so I'm posting this. Just bought a set of Enkei PF01's (17x8 and 17x9 with stock tire sizing) from Tirerack and installed them myself with a torque wrench. followed their instructions for breaking them in as far as re-torquing after a few hundred miles since they compress and what-not.

Now i am noticing a clanking sound from the driver front wheel when i go over bumps/cracks in the road at low or high speed. re-torqued the wheels to 80 ft/lbs and i still hear it. just bought the car in April and havent made it to my mechanic to have it looked over from top to bottom yet, but the previous owner had the brakes replaced just before i purchased it. This is my daily and i drive it conservatively. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What lugs did you use? Aftermarket I hope? Have you tried putting the pen wheels back to see if it does it? Is there maybe a ring or something not allowing the wheel to seat all the way?

Thanks for the response Manga. I used the lugs they included with the wheels. which are aftermarket i would assume? I dont have the stock wheels at my place to try that. they are at my parents house. i could definitely go and try that tomorrow. the wheels did come with fitment rings on the inside which they said were necessary for proper installation. i havent ever done wheels on a car myself so i dont have much experience in that arena. just followed the instructions on the box. 300-500 hundred miles on them and no issues until now.

So i took the wheel off this morning and i found one of the screws on the brake rotor was loose. 3-4 turns

not quite sure why that would be. didnt have time to take off the passenger front to make sure it didnt have the same issue but i didnt hear anything once i tightened it down and drove home. any idea why that would be loose? i know they are typically somewhat difficult to loosen. also, do i need them? i've read in some places they are not necessary for normal operation of the vehicle.

Thanks
