Default Cleaning Airfilter-(What to use?)

I have a mugen cai and need to clean the filter. I have no idea what kind of filter it uses and I'm wondering what's the best solution for cleaning. I know K&N has a cleaning kit, but I suspect its just for their filters.

The K&N kit works, according to King.

I use Simple Green for all gauze filters, and have done so for years.

Kekoa,

You can get the K&N kit at the Autozone on 19th street. Just head west on 19th past the DMV. I got my kit there.

I have as well. I find the K&N cleaner expensive and not very good-working. I think Simple Green works better and does not seem to damage the gauze.

I will recommend frequently checking for holes. I no longer use gauze filters on street cars as I have found them to be more of a PITA, requiring frequent cleanings and not lasting long before developing holes.
