Click sound coming from rear of car?
when I am at a complete stop and proceed to go, just slowly, I here 1 and sometimes 2 clicks coming from the rear of the car...it only happens from a complete stop, i'll hear if i pull straight or turn. it truly just sounds like " click click" or just 1....any ideas?
Yea, I got that also; when I first back the car out of garage or move forward when car setting I hear it.... I heard about 1 yr. ago there is a TSB on it but cant find it... the fix is to re-torque and re-lube some rear suspension parts.... dont remember all the details... the Honda dealer (in my area) could not find the TSB notice ....I dont think it is a safety issue... I will continue investigating and looking for the TSB info.
I know there is a TSB for MY00-01 about the rear end making this noise. My car has been to the dealer twice getting the rear-end done. It would come back both times after about 2 months. This is a known Honda problem, and if your dealer calls about it they will get informed of what to do. Although it doesn't seem to work for me. If you need to reproduce the noise well, go into reverse then forward. When you change directions is when things have to move to get retorqued in the opposite direction, that will make sure it's reproducable and noticable.

Something else to consider if the spline TSB doesn't pan out.
I believe that our cars use constant velocity joints (CV Joints) at the rear axle. On front wheel drive cars I have had them fail and make a clicking sound as you describe. I don't have any idea if the CV joints are prone to failure on the S2000. A quick thing you can check is to see if the rubber boot at each end of the axles is intact. My experience on other cars is that if the rubber boot fails and you don't catch it pretty quick that the CV joint fail once the grease spins out of the boot and is replaced with dirt. I have never had one fail when the boot is intact and dry. However, if the boot is very greasy it usually indicates that the boot has failed.

I don't know if it was technically a TSB ...... seems like someone had scanned the info in at one point and it look like just one article of a dealer service center "news letter" put out by Honda or something (there were other non S2000 related items on the sheet too).
In any case, lube up the drive splines in the outer hubs and re-torque the nut. You can do this w/o even taking the wheels off the car. Half hour of messing around max.
