Default Clicking noise under center console

Over the last month or so ive been noticing a sporadic clicking noise coming from under the cup holder area in my center console. I pulled out the console to check to see if anything was loose, but I failed to find the source. I tried searching and could not find anything.

Any ideas?

Also the rear diff was replaced in March 08, its an 03 with 56,000 miles.

A loud deep click or a relay sounding click?

Diff noise WILL seem to transmit through the center console. Hopefully that's not it, but that's been my experience. Also, if the boot under your shift boot isn't snapped down tight (there's a rather fragile while plastic ring holding it down) you get extra noise through the center console area.

its a relay sounding click, and when my last diff was going out I did'nt experience this noise. As for the shift boot ill doulbe check on that.

The noise seems to come and go, but lately its been more consistent.

There really isn't anything under there to make a noise... There's the roof switch, the hazard button and the e-brake switch (unpowered)... You could try unplugging the hazard and roof switches and see if the noise goes away.

If it does go away, plug one in for a while, then plug the other one in and see if there's any change.

Well I tried all those things, I even drove around for awhile without a console cover. Do you think it could be coming from my driveshaft?

Im planning on taking it to honda next week when I have time.
