clunking and thump-thump noises on my S
Having an issue with the S and wondering if anyone might know what's up before I take it to a shop or worse, a stealership.
I get a clunking noise (almost like the brake pad is stuck) when I leave the house in the morning.
I'm also getting a thump-thump-thump sound, similar to when you have a flat spot in a tire. I just put new tires on the car this year but
the sound was happening before and is still happening after the tire replacement. Also would think wheel out of balance would be
off the table since I just got the tires done and the thumping sound literally was still there when I left the shop.
Suspected wheel bearing but I jacked up the car and no play when I move the wheel side to side and top to bottom. Also spinning the
wheel as fast as I could yielded no sounds at all.
All of this seems to be coming from the driver's rear.
Thoughts?
