I have a noisy throw-out bearing on a stock 05 with 220Kmiles.
Going to go OEM but am wondering about an AP1 flywheel (14lbs vs 23lbs, approx) for some throttle response.
Any negs? Thanks
Light flywheel rattles a little more, and requires more precision between clutch and throttle. Heavy flywheel is a lot easier for stop and go traffic and going uphill. With a lighter flywheel you should also change over to an AP1 slave cylinder or remove the clutch delay valve on the AP2 slave cylinder.

The guy who did a clutch job on my AP2 (2007) said not to change the flywheel unless it's in bad shape. Since I don't track this car and do a lot of stop-and-go driving (to and from work), I agreed.
Luckily, the flywheel was in great shape.
