Default clutch bleeder nipple

Guys,

What's the clutch bleeder nipple look like?
Can I use ATE Blue Dot 3 brake fluid instead of Honda fluid?
What size hose fits over the nipple?

Can I say nipple one more time? Nipple!

nipple nipple nipple. it really does look like a nipple. it most likely has a rubber bra (cap) on though. its on the clutch slave cyl, which is on the driver side of the transmission. The clutch slave is the thing with a rubber hose going to it, which pokes out from a rubber boot strapped to the side of the trans. the nipple nipple is on the top of the slave cylinder.

damn clutch slave I bought from majestic is broken so I have to redo this too the nipple doesnt seal properly...ugh.

Its on the slave. Look under the car at the transmission, then try to find the clutch fork on the drivers side ... its cover by a rubber piece and you will see the slave.

I believe ATE is DOT4 (not 3) therefore it will absorb moisture quicker ... so you might need to change it in a year vs 2 years ... I would use regular brake fluid, you will be able to tell right away when the clean fluid comes out of the hose.

I want to say the hose has to be 1/4".

It's the only piece of hardware on the slave cylinder that a 8mm wrench will fit.

Clutch bleeder valve (nipple) is supposed to be the same size as your brake bleeders, so if you will ask for the brake bleeder hose they should know what size it is. And oh, don't forget the hose should be the clear type.

If your car is on a jack stand, it should be an easy access under there, unless you are a very large guy.

the clutch is smaller than the brake bleeders.. brakes use a 10mm wrench, the cluthc uses the 8mm. So no, a brake bleeding hose will be a very loose fit on the clutch nipple.
