Default clutch choice discussion

So I am installing a new (used JDM) transmission and will be putting a new clutch in on general principle. I am lightly modded with catback/testpipe, VAFC II, intake, 4.57 gears. In the not so distant future I will more than likely supercharge the car. (AP1)

I have run the search button out to its end and have come back with some mixed emotions about what clutch to choose. A good handfull of responses were owners with SC'ed cars with stock clutch and no problems... Basicly I am trying to decide whether to install a new OEM clutch or get a "stronger" aftermarket since I am going to be in there already.

I am fairly new to the S2k and definitely value any opinions on what clutch setup to intall in my car. Stock, type , brand of clutch, best place to buy from etc...

Thanks everyone!

Did you get the flywheel as well? I had a light weight flywheel in another car and I actually made the car considerably slower due to the revs dropping too quickly... How does a lighter flywheel feel on an S2k? Definitely worth the $$$$?

I would recommend a stock clutch disc with the ACT pressure plate , it has increased clamping force and the stock plate is weak. I did not go with the lightened flywheel, I just resurfaced my OEM flywheel. The lighter flywheel will allow you to spin up quicker but will not give you the mass of weight to help get moving. I am very pleased wit hthe ACT pressure plate and OEM disc. And yes I do dump the clutch at 7K , no problem.

Bringing this one back. What is a good clutch for 400whp but daily driven.

BTW, my knees are in good shape.

Act PP.

Stock disc.

LW flywheel is a great option, but not a necessity.
