Default Which clutch to choose?

Hello,

I've just closed a deal on a 2006 with 68k miles. Unfortunately it has a very difficult stage 2 Exedy clutch which makes driving the car in the city almost impossible.

I have two questions:

Which clutch kit would be the most similar to OEM but also affordable? I heard from my cousin that the Exedy OEM kit doesn't feel like OEM and doesn't last.

My cousin also mentioned that modding the master cylinder to get rid of the CDV might help with the very small engagement window on the clutch. Any thoughts on this?

I'm gonna be doing this myself in a hobby shop with a rented lift, and I've got probably 300-500 to play around with for parts.

Thanks

The Exide OEM is perfectly fine. Feels just like real OEM.

Is it a quality product that will last though? I'm very worried because I haven't changed a clutch before.

Anywhere in particular I should buy it from? Is there an OEM clutch kit that comes with the plate, clutch, throw out bearing and alignment tool?

go OEM. Hondaautomotiveparts.com is where i buy my stuff. great prices. also dont bother removing the delay valve. its really not a big hassle. it only interferes if you arent shifting right lol. its a nice little insurance as well.

Ahh....so the Exedy OEM stuff sold by them is not the same as OE? The OE stuff is made by Exedy though, correct?

OK just got all the parts plus the alignment tool OEM. I'm going to do the job this weekend I think. I have a 100 piece socket set, access to a hydraulic lift, and a shop staff member available to help me. I know I need an extender for the top bolt. What kind do I need? I'm searching all over and haven't had much luck. Maybe I'm searching the wrong words?
