Clutch Feel
ok, dilemma here....needs some insight...
My Car: 2003 S2000
39k miles
bought used in Oct '06
never replaced clutch.....no slippage.....still feels "strong"
very well maintained
freshly bleed clutch with past year
I recently drove my friends s2000 and noticed a huge difference in his clutch feel.
His Car: 2001 S2000
78k miles
bought used....still has 30day tag
no knowledge of cars history
stock (that we know of) other than exhaust
His clutch feels alot heavier than mine.
My s2000's clutch is light but comfortable, it was fine with me until I realized how much easier it was to be smooth in his s2k. It is extremely hard to make smooth shifts in mine, though I can accomplish it due to the fact that I've learned the car after having it for 2 years.
Personally, I loved the way his felt, but he like the way mine felt also. Neither feel as though something isn't wrong, it's just DIFFERENT...
ANY IDEAS???.......
~Thanks

well it sounds like whoever had your friends car replaced the cluth at some point in time(78,000 miles seems a stretch on one S2000 clutch to me) and most likely replace it with something alittle more heavy duty.. that's the hopeful option. The other option is that he has a bent tooth on his pressure plate or something making the engagement more difficult. You'll never really know nless you find the PO or take the car apart.
