Default Clutch Fluid

I know the clutch fluid is the same thing as brake fluid, but what's good to use?
I got GM friction modified in the tranny, and amsoil le607 in the diff. I just don't know what to put for the clutch. I know there is talk about this on one of the forums, i just can't find it.

-Thanks!

any DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid will be fine. Clutch system isnt subjected to the heat of brakes, so no need for really nice brake fluid like ATE. Just pick up some Valvoline DOT 4 and be happy

DOT3 would be a better choice actually since it has a longer life than DOT4. You want a DOT4 in your brake system though. For DOT3, I recomend some nice cheap SuperTech brand from WalMart

I used valvoline dot 4, it's cheap and easy to find. It made a huge difference after flushing the clutch fluid, the engagement was much crisper and less gas was needed to get the car rolling in first. I just did mine with the brakes together and 1 liter was plenty to bleed the crap out of both the brakes and clutch.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna use the valvoline as well. You think places like autozone or napa carry this?

Ehhh, brand doesn't matter at all when it comes to brake fluid. They all have to meet a standard that is put out by DOT. Just get the cheapest DOT 4 or 5 brake fluid you can get at the parts store.

I believe its dot 3 or 4, not dot 5. I could be wrong though.
