Default Clutch Issues

Hello All,
About a couple of months ago I had a clutch, pp and Lightened flywheel installed. I have been having some problems with the install part of things. THe car was running really funny before it used to refuse to go into any gear while at a dead stop, so we bled the clutch and adjusted the pedal to have zero freeplay and that seemed to fix the problem. Now about a month later the same problems are starting to arise again but not as bad. Sometimes its hard to put into gear when at a dead stop but this problem is not consistent. If initially I try to put it into gear and its difficult the attempts after that as long as the clutch is in it goes back to normal. Also when in high gears like 4th or 5th it kinda feels like the shifter is getting 'stuck' in the gear and is kind of hard to pull out of gear. We have also lubricated the input shaft and that seemed to improve the problem a little bit. Any input is appreciated.

I have been seeing these clutch issues on the boards off and on. I used to have a BMW2002 many years ago with this problem. I used to pump the clutch and it worked fine. I would say that if you bled it once and it worked then there must be air getting into the system. Have you tried pumping it at a stop and seeing if it helps. That would certainly point to air entering the system from somewhere.
Oh, the BMW turned upside down before I got to fixing the clutch.

If you're sitting at rest with the car in 1st and the clutch depressed, does the car try to creep forwards? It sounds like the clutch might not be fully releasing. That could be a mechanical problem or a hydraulic problem. We need more info.

Did a local shop lighten the flywheel? They could have gotten the step dimensions wrong, that would cause the clutch disk to drag on the flywheel. Is the tranny full of oil? Have you tried bleeding the clutch hydraulics?
