I'm not sure... I've never heard of this clutch. What are the specs on it?

I'm sure its 100% normal though. Air in your lines would make the pedal softer as it would compress, unlike the brake fluid.

More than likely you have one hell of a stiff pressure plate. You may be regretting the purchase if you are not FI pushing over 300whp. NA does not need anything close to a stage 3 clutch. I've driven an NA car with a stage 3, or rather I tried to drive it...it was damn near impossible...I stalled it 3 times before I even got it out of a parking space.

Also, it's unnecessary stress on the thrust washer if you don't actually "need" it. If that goes then time for a rebuild!

It is definitely recommended that you bypass your clutch switch, allowing you to start the car without depressing the clutch pedal(if you do this, please tell people before they get in your car, bad things can come from this if it is started in gear). I would also recommend that you do not sit anywhere with the clutch pedal pressed in. Only press it when you need to. Use synthetic oil as well(this seems completely retarded for me to suggest, but it's my theory that synthetic "should" lubricate the thrust washer better than conventional).

Robert, didn't Jphish have a stage 3 in his?

well the reason i put it on was because my stock clutch was gone and i am planing on going fi in the near future. im also getting my head gasket changed at the moment. im kind of regretting buying this hard ass pressure plate cause i dont think its gonna be as fun to drive anymore.... im probably gonna end up purchasing a softer pressure plate. thanks guys.

update:
so i found the culprit. it seems i put the fork on before putting on the tranny and the fork is supposed to be put in after the tranny is on. so i took the fork out and placed it on the throw out bearing. fixed.

Keeps the crank from moving forward and backwards. It wasn't designed to handle the extra clamp force that some pressure plates have.
