Ok, I have a 2001 with 74k miles and Im having some sort of problem with my clutch..I have searched and tried a few things suggested..Im just hoping to get some advice on what else to check...Im wandering about my slave cylinder..but its not leaking..I have bled the fluid a few times...greased the clutch fork..it feels great after I first do it but as I drive after day 3 of doing it the clutch pedal starts soft but the further I drive and the more I push the clutch the stiffer it gets...plus if I take it into vtec or get on it high in the rpms and push the clutch in its soft and normal..so the pressure varies...the pedal used to stick until I greased the clutch fork but its not really sticking..it just gets stiffer the further I drive and use the clutch..it starts soft..

 

prolly the master clutch cylinder, i have an 01 with more miles and i just had the same problem. look at the pictures at the bottum of the 1st page of the thread. im willing to bet thats your problem

mine does look like some grease or grey/black stuff around the arm that goes into the pedal..I will post a pic in a second..thanks for the suggestion..that could be it..
