Default Clutch pressure changes

I had extended the clutch adjustment to the last few threads and has been working for about 2 weeks now, with the clutch being right at the top of the travel. I thought last night to adjust it so that the bite point was lower down the travel, after that it all went to poop. The biting point gets lower and lower (to the point of not being able to change gear) until i have to re-adjust (i think the locking nut isn't too secure) but when i re-adjust it to the top again it doesn't work. The biting point stays about mid point... and as of yet haven't been able to get it back to the top...

Now the clutch couldn't of deteriorated in that amount of time (not been driving like a tit) so what else could it be?

Could a sticking slave be the cause this problem? Just getting to wits end now... got a new clutch lined up if not, and will be severely pissed off if that doesn't fix it...

could be a master or the slave, have they ever been changed before? Your car is 9 years old, and those parts don't last for ever. They ajuster is only for the pedal height the rest can not be ajusted

you may have very well worn down your clutch... the adjuster above the clutch pedal is only to loose any play that might be there, that does NOT adjust were your clutch catches, your clutch will always catch in the same place, if this is what you did and i understand you correctly, you may have cause youself a 1000 dollar boo boo, that being you have to now replace your clutch

ok well, how would you know if either the master or slave is screwed? There is no leakage on the master, and i am about to jack the car up to play have a look around etc. I slightly needed a new clutch regardless as it did slip slightly and have already purchased it and should be getting it fitted Wednesday, I just need the car to work for me for 2 more days and it be perfect...

You should not be adjusting the clutch with the rod on the master cylinder that much.

As far as checking to see if it is leaking. It will leak inside the car. Check the carpet below the clutch pedal.

I would start with bleeding the clutch http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=12154.

If you do find it leaking and do need to change it here you go http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=15696.

While you are under there it wouldn't hurt to do this also https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=370792.

I would check all these things first.

well if the clutch was already slipping and you played with the pedal adjustment thinking it controlled where the clutch catches, then you pritty much just completly killed the clutch, in regards to getting to work, idk what to tell you, just make sure u dont play with the adjustment when you get your next clutch and have your mechanic do it

Right, i checked the fluids and i filled completely and bled the clutch, pressure has come back now... altho residue has appeared around the master cylinder...so it seems that the thing is leaking!

Would you advise ripping it apart and doing the seals? or just purchase a new unit? The clutch seem a lot better, and i have re-adjusted the pedal back to normal settings (as stated in the honda manual)

Purchase a new master. No use in having it go bad again if the seal was not seated correctly in the long run destroying your new clutch that you will be putting it heh.

item #8 75 bucks get a new one for sure if u noticed any signs of leaking, one that is done keep the honda settings and ur good to go, maybe you can purchase the CMC and have your mechanic install it the same time he does your clutch if ur in a cold enviroment and dont feel like getting under the car like me
