Default Clutch Problems

Alright yesturday i left work for a break to get something to eat. so i get in my car and realized the clutch pedal has at least 50% play in it. so i pumped the hell out of it thinking it might help but still nothing. i drove to grab a bite to eat and it felt like 30-40% of the pedal was being used. so after work when i got home i check my clutch fluid and it was nearly empty all the way to the bottom and very dirty. so i went and got some fluid. i filled it up and capped it then pumped the hell out of it again. then the clutch pedal felt like it was back to normal. when i bought the car there was a tiny bit of play in the pedal maybe you could press it down an inch not even. thats how it felt again after i filled it up. so i drove about 7 miles to the gas station and on the way back about 9 miles into my trip it starts feeling really loose adn playful again. i havet gotten a chance to check the fluid level again but i will right after work and i'll update you guys. please let me know what you think.
thanks,
cory

The fluid doesn't just disappear on it's own. It is pretty obvious that you have a leak. Start pricing a slave cylinder.

Where's the update on the fluid levels?

Most likely you have a leak somewhere or you let the clutch fluid get too low and even though you have filled it up, there is air in the line and needs to be bled ouit.

Sorry you don't have a sense of humor kid, the internet can be tough these days.

And you're missing the point here. Your fluid went SOMEWHERE. It doesn't just get low at random intervals. You might have temporarily stopped a problem by adding fresh fluid but you're still left with the original question of "where'd all the fluid go the first time?". You can start with checking all around the slave/master cylinders for leaks. Also look for signs of wetness under the clutch pedal, sometimes fluid leaks past the clutch piston inside the footwell.

If your car has a warranty (I assume it does or you wouldn't have asked the first time) then I'd start attempting to use it.
