Thumbs down clutch problems

i've had this clutch for the past 5 months now. for the past month i have had a bearing sound from the clutch and also the clutch pedal is like butter after i run the car a few times.

i tested to see if the car needs a new clutch , but it doesn't i pulled the ebrake as high as possible and let the clutch pedal go slowly and it doesn't move, also there is not slipping.

i want to change the bearing from the clutch. do you guys think i have to change the disc or the pressure plate? for the butter feeling, and can i put another brand of disc with the spec pressure plate?

I'm not sure I'm interpretting this "butter feeling" correctly. Can you elaborate a little?

Your method for testing the clutch doesn't seem to be a very good one (to me anyway). Your e-brake seems to be working fine though . As for slippage, I would drive in 4th gear ~4K RPM and then hit the gas and see if it slips then.

If I have my e-brake fully engaged, my car wouldn't move when I engage 1st gear. It would just stay put and die as the RPM's fell.

the clutch pedal feels like really soft compare to when its cold.

the reason i tested like that its because before i even installed this 3 clutch my other clutch was going out so i was doing a research on how to test if its bad. so i did that with my old clutch and in first gear the car would just move with ebrake all the way up.

Understood. To answer your question, you can mix and match brands, it shouldn't cause any problems. Although each brand will tell you to buy only their stuff. Whether or not you need to change the pressue plate and/or disc, I don't know. You'll have to wait for someone else to post about that. Good luck to you
