Default clutch question

i have a 2002 s2000. recently, i was moving my gf's 2003 s2000, and i noticed that when i stepped on clutch, it was a lot easier to push down. is that normal?

i have a vortech supercharger (if that makes any difference).

more info please.

is your clutch likely to be toasted? miles? clutch drop? burn out?

what color is the clutch fluid?

when is the last time you flush it?

After having my 01 clutch replaced, the pedal feels MUCH lighter. It could be that your clutch is worn more than hers, or that the 00-01 have a slightly stiffer pedal in general. Not sure if thats possible since only the clutch disk was changed I think.

The disk does not affect the spring tension of the pp.

i have an 02 also, and my clutch is very stiff/harder to push down than some other S2k's. but it's been like that since day one, and the car now has 60,000 miles on it. no problems here.

unsure what/why the difference is there (and by the way some S2k's are like this, some are not) but it's normal as far as i know.

I'm "the gf". I've only got 10k miles on my car though. He's around 45k miles.

I don't know if he's has his fluid replaced before. Would replacing the fluid make it easier to press?

Can we adjust his clutch cable?

Jean

No, again, it sounds normal to me. Replacing the fluid wouldn't hurt, but it's not necessarily going to fix it. Again, it sounds normal to me. I've been in several S2k's that had stiff clutches like mine, and several that were much softer.

Did he buy the car new or used?

my car servicd last time, clutch loads lighter, dealer said there is a special point to grease and they had done it for me. Wouldn't tell me where, being cheeky, said was a trade secret, but it felt like a new clutch. May be worth looking at a diagram and looking for all points that can be greased and then doing so.
