Small problem...
I have burnt my stock clutch out in less than 3000 miles.
I drive my car hard.. droping the clutch etc.. i need a good clutch that holds up for a long time despite my abuse.

What do you reccommend?
I hear that clutchmaster is good as well as ACT, I'd prefer to go with one of those two brands but if you have another preference I would appreciate any thoughts.

Please help my car is in pieces at Honda so i need this ASAP...

Be carefull of what you are putting in this area because a stronger clutch transfer the energy at the other weak part of your drive train.( Differential, joints )
So you better go with a sprung clutch disk and a stronger PP.
ACT PP and OEM disk is a good match as i saw in this board.
I actually have a Starclutch stage 3 ( kevlar ) and i'm not VERY satisfied ( It grab enough but it is too noisy when decelerate )

 

exedy can stand up to all kinds of abuse...i love it(have it on my accord).

 

With your driving habits, there is a very good chance that after you make the clutch "bulletproof", you'll be back asking for recommendations on a "good" tranny, then a "good" differential, then a "good" set of half shafts. A Mustang might be a better choice.

Get a mugen or spoon PP with a stock revised disk.

nobody here really knocks your driving habits...just your choice in vehicles to abuse...unfortunately the drivetrain for our S is not exactly the strongest on the market. Nor is it the cheapest to maintain. But hey, if you have the money and the willingness to beef up. Good luck. just keep us informed as to what you find works best.

other wise, you might want to consider these guys advice...they know what thier talking about. American muscle is made for the abuse you enjoy inflicting. Our cars are tourers and track. Not low end beasts.

I love how people's response here is to tell a person that another car is what he should be driving... did he ask for your intelligent opinion on whether the car can be driven hard and still hold up or what he should be driving? Going on... have you seen the post about the carbon clutch? I think I will be trying that one myself...
