Clutch replacement question.

He's not kidding. One of our local board users is also a Honda tech who has done many S2000 clutches. He's told me that he's done the broom stick method a couple of times. The broom stick is not used so much as an "alignment" tool as it is to hold the disc and to move the disc around to the proper position till you can snug down the PP. As you say, even the "proper" tool has quite a bit of slop in it and you still have to rely upon "eye balling" to get it perfect.

OK. I see. So in all cases, it basically comes down to relying on eyeballing to final-check for a perfect alignment. That I agree 100%.

Well, they did have to do a little wittleing on the end of the stick to get a reasonable fit. I don't remember it being that big a deal at the time.
