Could be either the clutch slave cylinder or master cylinder. I had both mine go out at seperate times, same symptoms both times: low fluid or empty, really soft clutch with engagement at the bottom of the travel, difficulty or not being able to put the car in gear. Im guessing one or maybe both of those parts are faulty. The removal/install are relatively easy and are listed in the Service Manual on pages 12-5 and 12-6. Go to Autozone and pick up some DOT3/4 brake fluid and pour it in to the clutch fluid reservoir, pump the clutch a few times, then drive it over to Honda to get it checked out. I have the extended warranty, actually replaced both parts for free to my suprise. That was prolly around 33k-34k miles. Currently at 36k with no problems.

Common problem.

Clean the res out nice and clean with paper towels, then fill it back up with brake fluid.

Aftermarket clutch has nothing to do with it.

If the pedal does not return to normal, we'll proceed to step 2
