Hi guys so this problem just keeps getting bigger so i had to change my clutch about 5 months ago and i got an ACT. It has horrid clutch buzz and no about 1 month ago it started squealing when i would downshift only. when i release the clutch pedal slowly when downshifting it will make a horrid squeal like metal on metal higher pitch then the clutch buzz for those of you that have heard it. It doesnt happen every time but at least once to and from where im going and i downshift a lot i dont brake much so its really annoying and i was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if it something i need to get fixed. It only started once i got a new clutch along with the buzz but its worse than the buzz.
Also i was reading about the clutch buzz and someone said that it was from the springs on the PP so i was wondering also if you could pull the clutch again and tighten those or something to get it to stop there has to be a way to fix it, ACT being as well known and being around for a while should have found a way to stop it or they really just dont care.

 

I cannot address the squeal, but I replaced my clutch disk with the revised OEM disk at about 35k miles because I couldn't stand the Yugo-like sounds any longer. So far, the noise hasn't returned.

You may also want to grease the clutch fork where it meets the throw out bearing.
