Default Clutch vibrates in Vtec...

Now that my S is finally getting broken in (1100 miles) I'm starting to rev it a bit. Today around 6000 to 6500 rpm I'm getting this vibration while shifting. Doesn't seem to happen every time though? Anyone know what this is?

Look at the heat shield between the header and battery. Is it close or contacting and other metal parts? You can bend it slightly in any direction if it is the vibration. It did this in both my brother's S2000 and mine as well. If not good luck finding the problem.

Many S2000 owners (myself included) report that their clutches are noisy (rattly) when disengaged that can be felt in the pedal. Mine has had a rattle for 30K miles without getting better or worse.

If you are concerned about it, take it in. They will likely tell you it is normal (since it probably is).

Yeah, it's definitely a vibration from the engine reving. I tried shifting today at 6500, as soon as I touched the clutch pedal I could feel it vibrating (not a rattle). Haven't tried adjusting the heat shield yet but I can't see that causing the pedal to vibrate in such a manner. But who knows??

If you hear a vibration it could be the heat shield , if you feel it too it's probably the clutch.
