Default Coil over install

As with every install there are details that make the difference between good performance and great performance.

What are the details that need to be looked at for a great coil over install.

Here are some things I questioned

1. Balance of car - Weight same on all 4 wheels?
2. Correct height ratio's - Higher in rear, same all around, lower in rear and how much??
3. I am assuming a good 4 wheel alighnment is a must

Please let me know what things I should question my installer on. He is a competent mechanic, but is not familar at all with the S2000.

Thanks for your help

only a handfull of s2000 owners actually corner balance their cars after coilover install. if you do decide to balance then wait a month or so until the springs have settled. then allign after

chances are the mechanic is just gonna install the coilovers, as not many shops have that kind of scale. You might have to take your car to a shop that can do race alignment.

You would need to find a race shop or team in your area that can corner balace/weight for you. May take a bit of research. Frequently race shops that prepare cars for Spec Miata will be able to do the work.
