Comprehensive S2K Wheel FAQ
Guys, I don't mean to beat a dead horse because I know there has been a LOT of talk on wheels, but I've spent a good 4-5 hours searching and re-searching the board plus other sites and I don't have a good grasp of this:
Is there a definitive list of wheels that are certified compatible with our vehicle? Would it be cool to try and fill out a chart like this and post it to the likes of https://www.s2ki.com/faqs/faq_wheels.php or is this a fool's errand???

I have been working on this as well. Thought I would put together a list of web sites for companies that do custom offsets/width etc. and all the standard locations like tirerack etc.
Maybe we could work together on it?

if anyone would care to write something like that up, I'd be greatful to give you mucho credit and post it to the s2ki.com/faqs site. unfortunately, I do not have much spare time these days to provide fresh content.
thanks!
thanks!
The consensous around here (Toronto/Ontario) is stock, or custom wheels.
As there isn't anything else that won't adversely affect the handling.
I need wheels, and I needed them yesterday.
I'm leaning very heavily towards the stock wheels again for the track. But if I can go wider then I probably should. Problem is, I'll have to wait about a month for custom wheels.
I know someone who runs SSR Integrals, but the ass rubs if you go over a bump.
If anyone has any ideas of anything that's dead on or close in offset.. PLEEEEASEEEE let me/us know.

Sounds like a major undertaking. If you guys have the time to put everything together, S2Ki is more than willing to host the information. Our goal is to provide as comprehensive FAQ listing as possible. Please let myself or Schatten know of your needs.

Joshua, It will take me the better part of next week to get the rest of the data together - then theres the trip to Asheville, but we will get it together and get it posted.
PM me with any details or questions.

In addition to the required stock offset, be sure you contemplate any brake caliper upgrades you may undertake in the future. Example: Spoon aluminum 4 pot caliper requires 50mm (2") clearance. Don't close the door to brake modifications by using the stock offset numbers until you think your final setup all the way through. Being in a rush is dangerous. Sit down and draw out your final aasembly first. Coilovers open up clearance to the inside and allow you to go deeper into the wheel well - there are alot of variations to be considered.
