ok i just did a compression test at wot, but motor has been sitting all day and nite. now the number i got were starting closed to the cam gears and timming ak front of car.

1. 240
2. 245
3.225
4.230

this was done after blowing 2 spark plug electrodes off wich were in 3,4
i have also over reved my motor 2 times but never had problems. might need valve adjustment. are these numbers bad? the ranges seem way off between the 2 sets.

 

where did they go into the motor? If so you may have scored the cylinder causing the lower pressures in those cylinders.

 

yeah i guess so i dont feel like poping the head off just yet but might have to now.

 

i ran the car off a roll and i was in 4th gear for a second or so. then the check engine light starting blinking then went off when i slowed down/ car ran ok all the way home still idled fine.

 

ok i checked compression again on a warm motor one shot up to 238-239 the other was 245 so im ok what is new motor compressnion btw?

 

I did a check on my 02 with 21,000 miles and it was 240 all cylinders

If it shot up on a warmed motor then your problem is likely the rings...they heated up and expanded and sealed everything where as when cold they didn't.

that perfectly fine 225 is still well in spec
