Default compression test/ECM reset/idle learning

If I pull the fuel pump fuse, do the compression testing, and then replace the fuse, plugs, coils, etc, do I have to
reset the ECM and do the idle re-learning procedure? Neither the Robinette article or the compression testing DIY
here seem to mention doing this but the shop manual wording indicates that it's required.
Alternatively, how about just leaving the fuel pump fuse in place and being careful not to smoke too close to the
while doing the compression testing?
Would appreciate comments from someone with experience doing S2000 compression tests. Thanks.

Hasn't anyone on this forum done a compression test on a 2005 S2000? All I want to know is
if I remove the #2 fuse(fuel pump), do the compression test, and then replace the fuse, will I have
a check engine light that I have to clear?

If you don't disconnect battery (which you shouldn't neeed to for this), no need to relearn. Fuel pump fuse doesn't affect power to the ecu.

Fuel will give inaccurate compression readings, and will cause excess wear to your cylinders and contaminate your oil. Disconnecting fuel pump has little to do with fire.

Thanks "Car Analogy". I pulled the fuse, did compression checks (cold) just to get a baseline on engine condition after checking valve adjustment, and got 120 +\- 5 across all 4.
Replaced the fuse and finished up coils, plugs, etc. Engine started immediately, no DTC/CELs, ran fine.
The Honda shop manual is implying more checks are necessary, must be required if more extensive work done?

No idea what you just said.

120? Is that metric or something? 'cause here in 'merica we use lbs/sq inch, and 120 would be...not good.
