Looks pretty good to me.
My S2000 has almost 40k miles on it. According to the dealer I bought the car from, the previous owner really only did alot of highway driving. I always hear people say that if you put 20,000 highway miles on a motor, that the actual wear on the motor would be equal to a car with 10,000 mile sof city driving. How accurate is that?

I think you've been listening to a bunch of "old wives". It's the complete opposite. Hiway miles are "easy" miles. It's the stop and go and multiple cold starts of city miles that's hard on an engine. Take a look at your owner's manual where it talks about "normal" and "severe" maintenance schedules. Look at the conditions for each and this will give you a clue as to whether or not hiway miles are hard.
Some people sure do hear goofy stuff. What's more interesting is how much of that stuff they believe.

You got an S that belonged to someone who took car of his motor. Those are good compression #'s.. I see lots of them on here that are substantially less than those.

Here's a hint...write the Comp # and the date/mileage on the inside of the valve cover. That gives you a perm record right on the motor.

nice going

i got the kaa back in june of this year. i was there as the guy was trading it in for a mustang. I got this at a ford dealer I saw the yellow s there and thought it had already been put out for sale. When i went in an inquired about it, they told me it was int he process of being inspected for a trade in, i told them i wanted the car and they introduced me to the owner. turns out the guy was in his early 40s and a cop in a town about 45 mins from me off the Garden State parkway. He told me that the car was never beaten on, and of the 25k miles he put on it 20k of them were highway miles.

Those compression numbers are nothing, i used to have an Integra GSR with a built JUN III 12:5:1 compression motor. I used to break compression testers by the month. It would peg way past 300psi. It put out 218whp and 134tq. Low 13s all day long
