I was wondering if anyone knew if the comptech sc now come with a new type of "metal" bracket that is loss likely to crack, or do they still send out the older type brackets? Has anyone ordered a comptech sc recently, maybe you can tell me what your bracket is made of.

I didn't purchase a new kit recently, but I did get a replacement bracket from Comptech. They told me they stopped shipment on all S2K SC kits until they can start shipping them out with the new brackets. So If you order now, you'll get the new bracket.

 

yeup, just like nevert00fast stated. all comptech SC's are now shipping with the new bracket.

I find that cracked braket problem very ....Bizarre ??? Bracket is getting cracked ?? is it because of vibrating thing somewhere ??? Isn't it not more effective to find what's cause the braket to crack and solve the problem instead of making a bigger braket ??
Hum .....!!! What's your feeling about that guys ? Anybody knows why this braket getting cracked ??

That's good to know Comptech has the new brackets in . I just noticed my SCer bracket broke again , this time it's the big metal plate ! This is my third experience with this problem already , driving me nuts !

 

if your having that much problems with the Comp SC, you should get rid of it and get the vortech one. maybe they have a better design on the brackets and it wont crack. i know if i had my brackets broken 3 times, i woulda gotten rid of that crap a long time ago. just my .02.

 

fastlane, so i guess the 3 times it broke was due to the fact that you had the old brackets right? Have you contacted comptech for the new brackets yet? Also how much vibration are you getting from the kit? Any other problems coming up from the kit?
