Default Comptech crank pulley Q.

1. How much does it cost? DOes comptech sell it seperately plus the core?

2. If I remove my supercharger, can the car still use the comptech crank pulley if I dont want to remove it?

3. How much does a new stock crank pulley cost?

THanks!

Why would you leave it on?

You realise that what you get from Comptech is a stock crank pulley with 6 holes drilled/taped into it, and a piggy back pulley that bolts to it.

You should be able to pick up a second hand pulley pretty cheap from a dud engine these days. Just pull the modified pulley off and sell with the SC and install the replacement OEM.

Or, you remove the piggy back and the new owner has to drill and tap their pulley.

The only difference with the c/t crank pully is that they machined 6 threaded holes so you can mount the s/c pully. So the answer is YES, you can still use the c/t crank pully if you choose not to remove it. However, you'll need to remove the s/c pully with an allen wrench.

whoever buys your kit will have to send their stock crank pully to comptech or have some shop, machine the threads. Of course fees will apply.

Got it.

I want minimum hassle on this.

I think the easiest way to go about it is to remove the sc pulley and sell it with the kit, and the buyer can modify their own crank pulley.

THanks for the input!

Whereas I agree that is minimum hassle for you, you may find that the added hassle to the buyer makes the difference between a sale and not.

I'd ask around for a second hand OEM pulley first.

According to this website, the pulley only costs a little over $60.00...
