Comptech Exhaust Owners
If you think your exhaust is too loud Comptech has inserts you can install to quiet it down. They are about 5-6 inches long and slide in the rear and butts up against the narrower part of the tip. I believe the cost is around 20 each but well worth it if you want to get rid of the that low rpm boomy sound. You will need to drill a hole in the inner part of the exhaust...it only takes about 10 minutes to do the install.

No, No, No....He said you would only lose a couple hp...a couple is two...so you spent $1198 on a 1hp gain...
someone who spends about 1200 for 1 hps... doesn't sound bad.... the person who like me who installs the Mugen Exhaust, will gain NO(ZERO) hp!! Well, the only good thing is... it will be 24 lb less of the weight..!!

Besides, this post was not about spending money or performance gains, I just thought I would share some info for those that have Comptech Exhaust and wanted a little quieter sound. [Edited by SilverSurfer on 05-14-2001 at 07:09 PM]
