Hello all,
Does anyone know what the difference between the older and newer Comptech intakes are? I was going to buy a used intake that came off an '03 and put it on my '00. I noticed that there are two different model numbers from Comptech - depending on what year car you have. It seems like it would still fit properly - any ideas? Comptech won't return my email with this question...

The 02-05 boxes have a hole cut in them to clear the horn bracket.

The original comptech box is completly different from the curent ones. The old box is made of fiberglass, and has a contoured Carbon lid. The new box is roto-molded plastic with a flat Carbon lid.

 

The differances with the comptech kits is more in the additional parts that is included with the kits. There used to be three of them, and now there is only two. All kits will fit is all cars, you just might have to rig something for the horn. That is why they are differant.

The newer kit, well atleast mine came with a bracket to relocate the horn. (I didn't need it though as it is for 02+ only)

 

On the Left is a V2 Comptech lid. On the right is a V1 (fiberglass) box and lid.
