Default Comptech Intake

Are you supposed to clean or replace the comptech intake filter? If you're supposed to clean it does anyone know how to do it? If your supposed to replace it does anyone know what else you can put in there rather then the comptech filter?

Just get the dimensions of the Comptech foam filter and go to Autozone and open some K&N boxes and start measuring them and you may find a keeper. My local auto parts stores usually stock a million different sizes. A guy named "RUSS" from south Florida was running a K&N style filter on his Comptech a while back, talk to him, he is the #1 intake modifier of all time.

Thanks for the link to comptechusa, I was on that site yesterday and couldn't find it.

I'm thinking about going with K&N but does it have better airflow then the comptech?

Whoever finds a K&N replacement for the Comptech kit, please let me know! I have looked forever to find one, but to no avail.

Not only do I not like the foam filters, but cleaning them doesn't do enough either! This should become a don't clean your foam filter get a K&N replacement thread!

I went to Pep Boys, Autozone, and discount auto parts and none of them carry a filter that would work - I will spend some time on the internet tonight and find one that will fit and post the part Number!
