Just purchase my 06 GPW and it has a Comptech intake without the "Smog Legal" sticker I need for it to pass visual inspection so I can get it registered. What do you guys do to get around dumb stuff like this? Am I going to have to purchase a stock intake manifold just to pass smog, or are there other tricks of the trade.

I took your advice and contacted Comptech, "CARB" sticker is in the mail! Those guys are super easy to deal with, I would buy more products from them based on my customer service experience alone.

 

I have ordered from them as well. Great company.

 

Agreed. For them to be so responsive to a second hand owner such as myself was a treat for sure.
