I assume A and B are for water - plumbed to the cooler in front. Anyone know what the blue (valve looking) things are? I believe this could be close to a bolt on mod for the Comptech SC. I like it!

Any other observations or suggestions?

One further questions: how much boost does Vortech advertise. Comptech says 6lbs. Going to 8 would be a very small pulley size change.

yes, I believe those are the water lines.

The only thing that looks critical is the spacing between the blower outlet and the manifold inlet. If that was too different, it might take a mod to fit.

The SC unit itself would have to be in the same position on the horizontal front-rear plane. This is necessary to match the drive belt. I've heard that the SC unit itself is the same - made by Paxton. The connection from the SC to the cooler could be higher or lower, but probably not by much.

If I get a chance I will try to find 2 images (One of each manufacturer) and overlay them with Photoshop and adjust the top one to be see through. This wouldn't be an exact comparison, but close enough to see if only one tube would need a modified connector.

Anyone have a photo of the Comptech unit from the same angle as the one included in this forum - the one I used above with the yellow markings?

great pics. looks like the vortech blower outlet is either tilted or just a little lower. When you look at the cooling unit it looks like it's angled down a little to fit.

I dig the hood mod. is that a leaf blower inlet or ... what kind of inlet is that grabbing air from the hood? is it supposed to be designed like a cowl induction of sorts? I do like the one-sided look.

Hecash, did Mugen make a strut bar for the s2000? I saw that on your pics above.

Here's an overlay image. It's tough to read here, whereas I am able to change the opacity and see the differences much better. The Comptech output is both higher and more horizontal than the Vortech. It may be a bit further from the engine as well, thus having a longer shaft to match the belt drive.

any of you guys look at the aftercooler Jackson Racing makes for the miata SC? I posted the link up near the beginning of the thread.

That one looks like it might have more flexibility in terms of fit, but without knowing dimensions, it's hard to tell. In addition, I don't know if it's sized properly for our application (may be too small).
