Italian Buckwheat spanks that time (low 13s) with 4.77 and a good launch. I am not sure if he sprayed on his posted times, but I am pretty sure he didn't.

An SC just adds weight and makes the car slower.

correct, but i couldn't shake a 4.77'd car at our local track a few weeks ago....

of course the caveat was that this was a tight track - the back straight was the only place to stretch your legs and you only hit 180.

if we were at a "faster" track, the 4.77 car would have lost on the top end, and it would have been no contest.

that's why turbo better in the straight line
sc is better in corners, linear
if you dont drive over 4000rpm your gonna waste money on a sc.
sc has a max boost at upper range with the pulley spinning fast. think about how slow the pulley spins in the low rpm.
now you can tune a turbo to have the same boost anywhere in the rpm.
if that makes sense..

righttttttttttt. You sure it's always better? If the driver cant handle the broad powerband of turbo, then ya.

BTW, you can make your powerband linear on a turbo as well.

How can anyone say the sc just adds weight and slows the car down, thats crazy. My friend has a sc'd s2000 with nothing else done not even exhaust and I can get close to him!
