Default Comptech Supercharger belt tension pulley

I just put on my comptech Sc and the tensioner pulley for the blower belt is not lined up. 1/4 of the belt is off of the side of the pulley. the pulley needs to come closer to the blower bracket. Any ideas??

Is your setup new or used? can you post a picture of the mounting assembly for the pulley?

Here are the online instructions from Comptech, Look at the pictures carefully to see if you have all the bits and pieces on the mounting bolts!

My question for you is does your adjuster pulley line up with the blower pulley above it? You can make a quick plumb bob with a string and washer or a nut and hang the string off of the top pulley and see if string falls right in line with the adjuster pulley assuming the pulleys are exactly vertical and you are on a level surface - this will tell you if it is the whole bracket assembly or a problem with your adjuster bracket!

Then does your blower pulley line up with the crank pulley at the bottom? That is why I wanted to know if you had all of the proper mounting washers and etc... and they are in the correct location. let me know if the two pulleys line up "blower and Crank"

The crank and blower pulley pulley line up perfect. Also today I got a CEL. I think it has to do with the ESM since they are wire nuted togher.

You need to pull the code to see what is going on, especially with a used unit -hopefully the original owner didn't mess with the FPR because you can be running lean if the adjustment is out.
The wire nut thing just isn't a good idea, I highly recommend you solder the connections and not even use the crimp connectors that came with the kit when it was new!

Are you sure you don't see any fraying on either side of the belt? (not top or bottom but side to side) I know it's not easy to get to but yo umight want to take off the tensioner and the mounting hardware and take a photo so I can compare!

Both problems fixed. The CEL was from one of the wire nuts coming off and the wire was touching the metel of the car. I took off the tension pulley bracket and removed a washer behind the pulley and put it back on and it sits perfect now. Thanks for all your help. I thinnk I may remove the kit for good since winter is comming and it eats a lot more gas.
