Convertible top latch screw
Update, issue resolved!
I had the screw all along! I just didn't have the washer. I went to walmart and got their 50 pack assortment of locking washers. The smallest washer in the pack, (I think they call it #8?) worked perfect. Here's the pic my fixed latch:

If found the size in standard: (I'll post it after work)
When I bought mine, I only had one screw in the passenger side - making the button very loose.
The story is slightly more interesting.
While working on other things, like lubing the top seals, I noticed the latch and decided I was going to fix it, by finding a similar screw. The top was partially up of course to do the seals. I carefully removed the only screw in my clasp mechanism, and removed the push button which was dangleing. I gently poked the internals to see if there were any other parts that were loose that I didn't want to lose, and nothing moved. As I pulled my finger away I heard....
*pling
*pling
*rattle
*plink
....silence....
....silence....
(poke again)
....silence....
Nnnoooo!!!!!!

*Literally runs around yard shouting
*Looks into top mechanial well again, I see nothing. Check under seat, nothing. Carpets don't go plink plink.
The piece that fell out was a triangular piece that pivoted to transfer the push button to a 90 degree movement. The entire latch is useless without it. I finish with the seals and leather treatment, and look up how to remove all the interior panels online.
With all the panels removed, I luckily see the piece perched upon a small brace, just above the pit of the body frame, its open on both sides of the brace. I can only see it through a small slit, which no sort of odd shape pliers can fit, and I cant risk pokeing it with a grabber and losing it to the frame. I grab a long screw driver and some epoxy and put some on the end, and hold it to the piece for like 2 minutes. Cleanup the piece and install the dang thing imediately and never touch that screw again.
I went to Home Depot and got the smallest screw they carried - which was Standard instead of metric. That one happen to fit fine, if not better than stock because it was slightly bigger.
I have like 8 extra if someone wants some.

Remove one screw from the other side, go to ace hardware/lowe's/home depot/etc. screw it into the template those stores have mounted on their walls to find out its size, then find the appropriate screw in their isle and buy it. Then go back to your car and install both screws to the latches.
