thing is how can i get the exhaust to cool down fast so we can handle it.

will it be okay if i just stick the garden hose under and spray it too cool it?

umm, no. pretty sure if metal cools down super fast that is bad for it. just grab some welders gloves and your set!

i sometimes put a fan blowing on whatever i want to cool off.

garden hose will be fine, dont let others trick you, ever think what happens when rain water hits your exhaust or you go though a puddle?

squirting some water on it one time will not stress the metal that much.

You'll be fine.

I spray my exhaust all the time at the car wash to clean the mufflers and as far back as I can spray. I drive 3-4 miles to get there and there is no damage.

It depends... I wouldn't spray it off if he is coming from a long distance. Here's a crazy idea... you could be patient and wait? probably not something that many S2K drivers are good at.... #### it hot potatoe that b*tch. Post pics of your burns... and new exhaust.

fan works great as long as it hits the exhaust pretty well. Put the fan on it for 10-15 min and wear mechanics gloves and you should be fine.

well i got work thats why i cant afford to wait how many some hours for it to cool down.

how about best of both worlds. ill let it sit for half an hour or so. then spray it. then drive it into the garage and get to work.
