Default coolant level low

i dont track my car, i dont even drive my car that hard. while i was changing my oil, i noticed my coolant level is below the "low" mark.

does this mean my coolant is leaking some where?

You should check it when the engine is warmed. The radiator sucks most of the excess coolant back when cold.

a leak would depend on how much coolant you consume during a specified period of time...

top it off to max...then monitor the level...

This is normal. You probably don't have a leak because you would smell it.

I had to add a glass of distilled water after 38,000 miles and/or 4 years

I noticed it too on my S few days ago.
I'll try to check it when it's warm.
