Default coolant question!?!?

so i now have a garage so im doing all my maintenance only to find a couple things needed some love.

As far as the coolant, i changed out the reservoir as my other one was cracked, i then decided to swap out the coolant. Before i had some green stuff probably peak or something along those lines but i decided to get all the coolant out. I drained the radiator and hooked up compressed air to the rear vent port, some more came out so i thought i got it all. I proceeded to fill it up with honda type-2 (blue) coolant. Repeatedly got the air out from front vent and massaging upper radiator hose. Got it all out and all was good.

Temps stayed the same for me (around 194 to 200) (using bluetooth obd2 with torque). I then found out my radiator cap was broken (part that compresses) so i replaced it, temps then raised to 200 to 205. Next day busted a hose above oil filter.

NOW THIS IS THE STRANGE PART!
so i replaced that hose but while it was draining it was PURELY green, no blue look at all - i emptied some out of radiator and it was blue, very blue. i just thought it was kinda of weird that it didnt mix throughout the engine over 40 miles or so. I checked water pump, no leaks, spins freely and makes a gentle (weeping) noise which fsm says is normal. My 2 thoughts is could it be the thermostat locking fluid, but then wouldnt my car overheat? or somewhere in the engine where the coolant isnt circulating?

Thanks for your input, sorry for the long ass expanation its a 2000 s2k with 195k on it had it since 50k been awesome.

When the engine is cast there are always some small imperfections I'm guessing it's the latter. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as you're not overheating.

When you changed the coolant where was your climate control's temperature control switch set? When changing coolant or bleeding air from the cooling system it should be turned to full heat to allow coolant to circulate through the heater core.
